These are a couple of sweet photos of Fenn from mid-May (pre-Boone). I took them one morning while Fenn was watching the Little Einsteins before going to school. The lighting was really pretty coming in the window, and he looked so sweet sitting there in the clothes basket (a current favorite toy). Look at his beautiful eyes! Fenn is doing pretty well adjusting to being a big brother. For the most part, he seems to be okay with having Boone here and even goes over to him sometimes to give him a little pat on the head, a hug, or a kiss. And he calls him "Boo". At least we picked a name that he can pronounce (well... sort of). The worst problem we're having right now is that he is no longer sleeping through the night. He has pretty much always been a good sleeper, with the exception of times when he is not feeling well or is cutting teeth. But since Boone's birth, Fenn has only slept through the night a couple of times. Sometimes he will keep one of us up for anywhere from ten minutes to 3 hours. He just wants to be held and will fall asleep as long as we're holding him. Then when we try to put him in the crib, he'll wake up immediately and start clinging to us. He'll scream if we try to leave the room. I suppose this is how his anxiety about the changes at home is coming out. I'll be glad when he stops doing this because quite honestly it is breaking my heart. And other than the sleep problem, the only other way he is acting out is through the occasional tantrum (but at least they're small tantrums). So I suppose it could be worse... and we know it will get better eventually.
