Boone went for his three-week checkup yesterday (actually 2 days shy of 3 weeks).These are his stats at 3 weeks old:
Weight: 9 lbs. 12.5 oz. (71st %)
Height: 21.5" (70th %)
Head: They didn't write it on his sheet (39th %)
Compare this to his stats at 3 days old:
Weight: 7 lbs. 9 oz. (38th %)
Height: 19.75" (45th %)
Head: 35.5 cm (39th %)
And no, he didn't shrink since birth. He was 20.5" long at birth, but the hospital measures from head to toe, and the pediatrician's office measures from head to heal. He actually had quite a growth spurt during this time period. At birth, he weighed 8 lbs. 3 oz. and then had lost about 10 oz. when he left the hospital. But look at that huge weight increase from May 18th to June 3rd! He gained over 2 lbs. in less than 3 weeks.
